About AlcoholCalculator.com
AlcoholCalculator.com is a free, independent blood alcohol calculator. It estimates blood alcohol concentration from the drinks you enter, shows how uncertain that estimate is, and explains the method and sources behind it.
What it is for
- Seeing roughly how blood alcohol rises and falls over an evening.
- Understanding how much alcohol is in a drink, in grams and standard drinks.
- Learning why the morning after can still involve alcohol in the blood.
What it is not
- It is not a breathalyser and does not measure anything.
- It is not medical or legal advice.
- It must not be used to decide whether to drive, work, or do anything else where impairment matters.
Who runs it
AlcoholCalculator.com is published and maintained by SAKKOM Interaktív. It is an independent site and carries no advertising in this version.
How it was made
The calculation follows a published forensic approach, described step by step on how the calculator works. Every parameter and every factual claim on the site is tied to a source that was opened and read, and each source list shows the date it was checked.
This is the first version (model version 1.0.0). Citing an institution’s publication does not mean that institution has reviewed or approves of this site.
Principles
- Say what is known and what is assumed. Arithmetic, model assumptions and individual uncertainty are kept apart.
- Show a range. A single precise-looking number would be misleading.
- No permission to drive. The site never tells you that you are sober or fit to drive.
- Your data stays with you. The calculation runs in your browser; see the privacy note.
- No ads. There are no advertising networks or third-party embeds. The site counts visits with Google Analytics; what that can and cannot see is on the privacy page.
Report a mistake
If a number, a source or the calculator itself looks wrong, write to info@sakkom.hu. It helps to say which page it is on and what you expected to see. You do not need to send your drink log, and please leave out anything personal that is not needed to explain the problem.
Pages carry the date they were last updated, and the model has a version number that changes whenever a parameter or rule changes.
